Christmas Garland - sort of

I was in a swap where each in a group of six made these large cs ornaments. (I made the gingerbread man). They were originally meant to be made into a garland like you would put across a fireplave mantel but I didn't have any place like that. So...I hung them from ribbons and tied scrap pieces of fibers and ribbons I had, then added pics of all five of my grand daughters (don't have ANY grandsons...yet).

Twinkling H2Os

I've been using my Twinkling H2Os these past few days and have fallen in love with them all over again!  They are just so AWEsome!!!  I've made a Christmas card and a fairy ATC. For the card, I used CB embossing folder (Script) and the die/enbossing folder Christmas ornament.  The Twinkling H2Os I used were Autumn Skies, Fern and Sunburst.

ATC booklet

I found a site that has some really great tutorials and one of them was for this little mini ATC book/holder! It's called Go Make Something.  I had been in several ATC recipe swaps and had nowhere to put them...until I ran across this place!  I adjusted some of the measurements a little bit until I found a size that works for me.  The cards can be placed in the front and back of the folded insert and can be removed or switched around.

Christmas Gifts

My dh brought home some paint cans made of plastic!  I found it was just the thing I needed for packing the gifts for my grand daughters.  I altered them both witht the same patterned paper just different colors.  I used Sizzix dies Flower Charms and craft foam with alphabet dies.

Quixotic Challenge #5: Be Charming

The challenge this week at Quixotic Paperie is to make something using a charm.  Since I've been working on the 6x6 albums for my grand daughters, I figured I could kill two birds with one stone - make a layout AND do a challenge.  The little tag has a heart-shaped smiley face charm.

Recipe Card Challenge Recipe

This is for a recipe card challenge at Recipe Card Challenge Blog.  I used die cuts for the plate and dinnerware and glass.  I made a pocket and the recipe itself slides up out of it but will not pull all the way out.  I used a CB embossing folder for the plate design.

Designer's Lottery Winning Door ATC

On ISC, there are bi-weekly ATC challenges in an area called Designer's Lottery.  The winner wins the other entries.  This past lottery was for an ATC featuring a door or window in some way, shape or form. I won the lottery with this ATC:

Birthday Cards

Since I had to work on Thanksgiving and that weekend, my family decided to have our Thanksgiving Dinner this weekend, since I am off.  We also decided to combine it with my youngest son's and fourth grand daughter's birthdays. He'll be 12 and she'll be 5.  I made some cards for them.  The first is for my grandaughter.  The image is Hampton Arts "Birthday Princess".  I cut a circle and glued the top half of it on the back on the card front to act as an easel to hold the card upright.  Okay...truth is, I made it upside down and had to figure out a way to fix it without having to throw the card away or do a bunch of cutting, etc.  It worked out very nicely though :)

My youngest son's card is somewhat plain on the front (Sizzix DressUp Doll body, hair and the Fisherman clothes).  The face is from Peachy Keen Stamps. On the inside, there is a pop-up with a little fish bowl and rod & reel. The goldfish is hanging from a little piece of string and just bobs around when the card is open.  It is a free standing card and can be left open.

Jordan's final pages

These are the rest of the pages for my grand daughter's album (ONE of my grand daughters...hehe).
I made them Halloween and Christmas.  The Christmas ones still look a bit plain to me so I may add a few more elements...maybe some flowers?

Robin's color & fiber challenge

I made this card for Robin's challenge on ISC.  The challenge was using three colors - lt blue, lt green and white...AND two different fibers.  I used MS punch for the tree topper, green lace for the tree, small snowflake punch, SU tag punch and image, HA Birthday Princess stamp, irridescent glitter and three different fibers: white and light blue for the snow and another blue for the tag.  The blue cs is Paper Trey Ink and I embossed it with CB's Swiss Dots embossing folder.

More album pages for Jordan's album

I've been working on one of my grand daughter's 6x6 album again and nearly have it finished.  Just need to make a Halloween layout and a Christmas layout.  I added to one of the pages I'd posted previously and that is the first pic. I added a glitter covered castle and a couple of tiny frogs :)
