In a slump :\

The past few weeks have been soooo busy!  My youngest son (12yo) had a severe case of strep throat, I sprained my hand at work AND, my oldest grand daughter (8 yo in April) had surgery to place tubes in her ears!  As you can imagine, I haven't done a whole lot of crafting and I'm having withdrawls!!! 
I have to keep a splint on my arm to keep my hand immobile...makes it a bit hard to stamp and cut, I tell ya! Between light duty at work and not being able to open anything, I feel totally useless and helpless!!  I'm just thankful it's my left hand and not my right...although it makes it a bit difficult to drive as any pressure makes it feel like someone is driving a stake through my hand! (I TRIED telling my supervisor that my patients were killing me this month...lol).  I guess I'll have to sit here and continue eating chocolate covered raisins until I'm all healed up ;)
It hasn't stopped me from joining swaps, though!  I've timed them so that they aren't due unitl mid-March to sometime in April.  Hopefully I'll be back up and at 'em soon so I can post some pics of new projects.  I figure about the middle of next week I'll be back to as normal as I can be :)

Easter card challenge

Okay...this card was for a weekly challenge hosted by Jessie F. on InspireSwapChat.  As with Valentines, I sadly realized that Easter stamps are another commodity I am short on :)  Oh well, didn't do TOO badly, I don't think, using what I had. 

Artchix ATCs

A long time ago, a friend sent me some Artchix photo sheets.  Now, things like that are something I don't normally do since I love stamping so much.  I joined a swap for which I had to make altered Artchix ATCs.  So, I said to myself "Self...you got the stuff, and you love ATCs, so give it a shot!"  Using old bits and pieces of old jewelry, feathers, homemade flowersoft, and other embellies that I've hoarded...er, collected, I mean... over time (you know the ones..."I-love-it-but-don't-want-to-use-it-cuz-I-can-use-it-on-something" but you don't ever?)
ANYway, here are my efforts.  Had to make five.

Happy Valentine's Day !!!

Tomorrow is Valentine's day!  What are your plans for the day?  I am going to make my family a Red Velvet cake, Sausage Gumbo...for starters anyway :) 

I have also made Valentines for the valentines in my life. Doing so made me discover that I have very few Valentines stamps!    I want to share them with you :)  (I've retried uploading these pics and the others from previous posts and they all still come out the same way...a little distorted, they aren't wide enough and they look funny. Is anyone else having that problem?)
