New Peachy Keen stamp set

Helllo all...long time - no see :)  First, as some of you may know - and for those of you who don't, you will - I had a back  injury at work Nov 13, 2010.  Still out of work and am awaiting a series of epideral steroid shots :O and a consult with a spine surgeon :(  I am having so-so days and bad days.  On my so-so days I can stand long enough to wash a dish or two and on a bad day I can't stand or sit at all :(  I have a protruded disc that is pressing against a nerve. My ortho doctor suggested a walker as on occassion my knees buckle and I go to the floor.  My postings will no doubt be sporadic at best and for that I apologize beforehand. Whew...now that THAT is out of the way...

I bought several items from Peachy Keen Stamps:Cottaage Cuts flower pots and Cottage Cuts kitty cats, PK 277 Vivienne and Friends and PK 281 Valentine Cupids, which  is the set I used for this card.  The background design was a difficult design to create indeed!  JK :)  I scanned a blue floral blouse of mine and used the Paint Shop to change the hues and voila! Cardstock is from Paper Trey Ink, SU Basic Black classic and Memories Black India Ink.  Watercolor pencils and Sakura glazing pens were used for coloring...as you can tell, I've been a bit out of practice with the watercolor pencils ;)  ANYway, this is my first official card post of the year...YAY :)

Busy Busy Busy

Sorry for no postings in quite a while.  I have gone back to school to become a medical transcriptionist...and none too soon!  In November of 2010, I hurt my back helping an RN at work and have been out of work ever since!  My "pulled muscle" diagnosis from the night of the incident actually turned out to be a protruded disc that is pressing against my sciatic nerve.  Still unable to work and am still not to lift, yada yada yada :(  Can't pick up my own grandbaby let alone do the bending, reaching and stretching I do when crafting! I haven't joined any swaps or challenges either.  Wait...I take that back...I have joined a secret sister type of swap just the other day. I figured that since I'm a little better able to actually sit and not stay propped up on the couch with my legs draped over a pile of pillows, I might can manage a card or two.  Can't stay up for too long at a time.  Am waiting for a consult with a spinal surgeon and a series of epidural cortisone shots.  So...I'm trying, guys :)  Hope your new year is going grand :)
