New Peachy Keen stamp set

Helllo all...long time - no see :)  First, as some of you may know - and for those of you who don't, you will - I had a back  injury at work Nov 13, 2010.  Still out of work and am awaiting a series of epideral steroid shots :O and a consult with a spine surgeon :(  I am having so-so days and bad days.  On my so-so days I can stand long enough to wash a dish or two and on a bad day I can't stand or sit at all :(  I have a protruded disc that is pressing against a nerve. My ortho doctor suggested a walker as on occassion my knees buckle and I go to the floor.  My postings will no doubt be sporadic at best and for that I apologize beforehand. Whew...now that THAT is out of the way...

I bought several items from Peachy Keen Stamps:Cottaage Cuts flower pots and Cottage Cuts kitty cats, PK 277 Vivienne and Friends and PK 281 Valentine Cupids, which  is the set I used for this card.  The background design was a difficult design to create indeed!  JK :)  I scanned a blue floral blouse of mine and used the Paint Shop to change the hues and voila! Cardstock is from Paper Trey Ink, SU Basic Black classic and Memories Black India Ink.  Watercolor pencils and Sakura glazing pens were used for coloring...as you can tell, I've been a bit out of practice with the watercolor pencils ;)  ANYway, this is my first official card post of the year...YAY :)

Your card is so cute. I like to scan fabric for paper too! It looks beautiful! You made some awesome choices from PK and Cottage Cutz! I look forward to seeing your creations as you are able. Chin up and thanks so much for posting.

  2. I'm so sorry to hear about your back, but hopefully things get better for you one day at a time. Your card is SUPER cute, and I'm amazed that you made the paper yourself!
